This spring, we're adding animated fun and excitement as FOX's blockbuster hit series, The Simpsons™, becomes the inspiration for the world's most highly anticipated new theme park ride at Universal Orlando® Resort.

Careen and crash your way through Krustyland in Universal Orlando® Resort’s wild and hilarious new The Simpsons Ride™, based on FOX-TV’s long running animated series.

Join Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie as you pay a visit to Krustyland, the low-budget theme park created by famed TV personality and shameless product huckster Krusty the Clown. You’ll swoop, soar and smash through all of Krusty’s crazy attractions and see many of your favorite characters from the TV series in this all-new animated adventure.

The ride was created in collaboration with The Simpsons™ Creator and Executive Producer Matt Groening and Executive Producer James L. Brooks. It’s the first-ever attraction based on the TV series!

Take a harrowing – and hilarious – trip into the world of disaster movies in Disaster!^sm A Major Motion Picture Ride…Starring YOU. Learn the secrets of disaster films, experience special effects demonstrations, then board a moving subway train set into the explosive finale scene of a disaster film: a spectacular 8.0 earthquake.

Disaster!^sm replaces Earthquake and combines the best, most dramatic elements of Earthquake with an all-new storyline, top name celebrities, new “Musion” technology and all-new interactive elements. Park guests enter “Disaster Studios” and become part of the production action surrounding a “major motion picture.”

Disaster!^sm set in our San Francisco street set is perfect for small groups looking to experience big thrills or can be added to your New York or Amity Street Party for larger groups.

Lights…Camera…Coaster! Universal Announces Brand-New Roller Coaster

Adrenaline pumping and music thumping, you find yourself heading straight toward the sky. Suddenly, you are doing 65 mph, 17 stories over Universal Studios. Gasping with excitement, you rock out to a song you picked before strapping in. And, it’s all on video. Once the adventure is over, you edit the video to send to your friends and colleagues.

This is true high-tech, customizable, multi-sensory entertainment. The Universal Creative team is combining audio and special effects engineering, sophisticated on- and off-board video and one-of-a-kind guest personalization to create a roller coaster experience unlike any other. Scheduled to open in spring 2009, Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit will stake its claim as the most technologically advanced roller coaster in the world.
